Our Board of Directors
Jason Foster
Jason Foster has been serving in the Wisconsin Army National Guard for the last 16 years, expanding his career in the Military Specialties fields of Medical First Responder Combat Life Saver, Army Physical Fitness Trainer NCO, Unit Prevention Leader, Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Trainer, Casualty Notification Officer, Casualty Assistance Officer, Comprehensive Health and Wellness Leaders Course, Career Counselor, Motor Transport Operator, and Military Science Instructor.
Jason has had the honor of being a part of America’s history serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom on the Quick Reaction Force Team and Operation Enduring Freedom as a Mission Commander. Currently, Jason serves as the 2ND BN 127TH IN REG Retention NCO.
Jason’s first experience with Old Glory Honor Flight started back in 2014, as a Guardian for his grandfather, WWII Veteran George Roberts. The impact was too powerful not to continue the support for such an amazing organization. Jason was welcomed to the Board of Directors in January of 2024 for Old Glory Honor Flight and the Missions of Honor Board of Directors in March of 2024. “I was a veteran on the inaugural Freedom To Liberty Tour in 2023, with the extreme honor of being an Ambassador for Freedom to Liberty Tour in 2024. I continuing to help and honor Americas heroes one mission at a time.”
Scott Lund
My name is Scott Lund, and I have the privilege to serve as the President of the Missions of Honor Board of Directors. I also have the honor of being on the Old Glory Honor Flight Board of Directors since 2019. I have witnessed and participated in powerful conversations with our World War 2, Korean and Vietnam War veterans. The sacrifices of these men and women are both inspiring and heart breaking. Saying thank you never seems adequate for the sacrifices they were willing to make and what many still carry with them.
Missions of Honor was created so we could honor our younger veterans who are not eligible for an Honor Flight. So many of our younger veterans believe their service didn’t matter or they don’t know what they were fighting for. This mirrors the thoughts and feelings of many Vietnam veterans we have worked with over the years. Our youngest veterans are experiencing a mental health crisis at an unprecedented level. If we can help one of our younger veterans get help, find peace, regain a sense of community and support, and not take their own life why wouldn’t we?
I was a police officer in the Fox Valley (WI) for twenty-four years. I was a patrol officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief of Police. I had the privilege to attend the 230th session of the FBI National Academy in July 2007. My wife and I also loved our time volunteering during Police Week at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial for eighteen years.
