Veteran Application

Honoring our veterans who served during the Global War on Terrorism

Missions of Honor proudly announces the Freedom to Liberty: A Mission of Healing retreat that honors veterans who served during the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT).   Dates of travel are 10/2/2025-10/5/2025. The group will head to New York City to visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum, Freedom Tower and the Statue of Liberty. The mission will also include several prominent 9/11 First Responders and Survivors as well as distinguished Veterans who will share their messages of resilience and hope. The retreat is at no cost to our GWOT veterans as a way to honor and thank them for their service and will provide a meaningful opportunity for them to heal and bond with other GWOT veterans. “We’re thrilled to once again recognize this very deserving, special group of men and women who served during the longest war in our history. We know many of our vets are hurting so by gathering them together, sharing stories and spending quality time together, it’s our hope they’ll find meaning and heal from residual, often painful memories from their time in the service,” said Diane MacDonald.

* Please note* The Freedom to Liberty: A Mission of Healing retreat is an annual event. A maximum of 60 veterans will be selected to participate and they must reside in our designated service area as well as meet the requirements laid out in the application including mandatory meeting dates*.  Due to its popularity, we expect to receive many more applications than seats available.
