About This Event
Freedom to Liberty: A Mission of Healing Retreat recognizes a very deserving group of American patriots who served during the Global War on Terror. Veterans will be honored with a no-cost, multiple day retreat to New York City to visit the 911 Memorial and Museum at Ground Zero, the Freedom Tower and the Statue of Liberty. During the retreat, veterans will spent time with 9/11 First Responders and fellow, distinguished veterans who will share their stories of love, faith and resilience. Our goal is to celebrate our veterans and their families and put them on a healthier path forward. The public is welcome to participate in our Welcome Home Celebration at American Legion Post 38, 3220 W College Ave, Appleton, WI 54914.
